Happy summer days to each of you! We have some fabulous developments to be announcing over the next couple of months. There is change in this summer air!
We are excited to announce an addition to our directory services - The Natural Living Radio Show. Angela is now hosting a two-hour web based radio show on www.desmoinesamplified.com every Wednesday morning from ten to noon. She is having a blast highlighting businesses and organizations in our community and showcasing how your business is different from the others in your field. We believe there is room for each of you in this marketplace; it is just a matter of attracting the clients to you that you feel most passionate about helping.
There is a menu of services connected to the radio show; right now we are just promoting an initial $25 fee for the first 30 minute interview. Another email will be coming soon with Youtube clips, podcast clips, additional interview spots and more that can be purchased. There will be opportunities to have banner ads advertising events, products and services as well.
We will also have sponsorship promotions that will be announced soon. The one that we are most passionate about filling is for the radio station to have Recycling containers and Sponsor Announcements promoting the fact that Des Moines Amplified recycles and that the containers are provided by YOUR business. Banner ads can also be part of this sponsorship. The monthly sponsor fee is $50 and provision of seven recycling containers that can most certainly have your company name and logo on them. Angela will record the sponsorship announcement and find other radio shows to play the announcement on a regular basis.

WATER UNDER SEIGE One Day FILM FESTIVAL The Politics, Pollution and Commodification of Water. 9:30am - 8:30pm A day of remarkable films about water, with local water experts and activists introducing them and offering opportunities for questions and answers. In light of the recent algae bloom in the Raccoon River, this is a great opportunity to get quality questions answered. Bagged lunches will be sold for lunch. A FREE Chili Supper at 5pm will preceed a lobbying training session to train ordinary individuals who care about water quality, access and conservation to make their voices heard at state and national levels. Take a taste test to compare tap water and bottled water! And learn how Iowa's impaired waters affect our future.
